The GDL Object Explorer is the offline software for intelligent GDL object catalogues on CD-ROM.
It is for use, organization and publishing of product catalogues in an attractive and clear interface.
performance features:
coming soon
- Neutral i-Catalog-Browser for GDL-objects on CD-ROM and hard disk
- CAD-coupling through export the GDL-objects in The Formate: DWG, DXF, DGN, 3DS, IFC, VRML, LP, OPJ, JPEG and many other
- Object parameters by the user visually changeable
- Manufacturer specific object informations by HTML-output
- Linkage to the website of the manufacturer
- 2D- and 3D-presentation
- 3D rotation of the objects in real time
- Based on GDL object technology
- Runs under Windows directly on CD-ROM
- Firm logos and Web linking can be integrated
Simplest Usage:
GDL-objects are listed in a tree structure, like the Windows-Explorer. In the upper part of the dialog box you see the preview pictures. By clicking on an object in preview you can rotate and view the 3D-object in separate window in real time. In this window the object can also be viewed in different types of presentation.
Working with parametric:
In GDL explorer you can test all different parameter settings of an object and view the effects. All dependences and geometries are laid down in GDL.
Extensive export functions:
The GDL explorer uses the same proof in- an export-technology as the CAD-system ArchiCAD
from Graphisoft. The explorer is able to create most different CAD file formats from parametric GDL objects for 2D and 3D. So is the export directly possible to AutoCAD (DWG 14/2000), Microstation (DGN), Lightscape (LP), Art*lantis (OPT), 3D Studio (3DS). All other relevant CAD systems can be selected by standards such as DXF or IFC.
Since February 2004 the
GDL Object Explorer is free available at
Graphisoft.
This means, that every non-ArchiCAD-user is able to view, parameterize and save GDL objects in different file formats absolute free.
The version 2.0 of the Explorers is also able to work with ArchiCAD 8+ objects.
